Imagine pulled my cluster yet, so your saying some of the 88-94 used a white base and some green is that the color of the back side ?Yes, you are correct. The bulbs in the green bases are 194's and the bulbs in the white bases are 161's. T-10 LED is used for both if I am not mistaken.
Showing the Back of a 88-94 5 speed cluster with rpm gaugeI don't remember for certain, but when I did the cluster in my '94, there were a bunch of bulbs with white bases, but I don't recall seeing any bulbs with green bases. This could perhaps be a difference between the moonie and needle clusters.

That is not an '88 cluster, most likely a '92-'95. The early clusters did not have twist bulb sockets, they were mounted to the circuit board.Showing the Back of a 88-94 5 speed cluster with rpm gauge

Ok well I didn’t know 88-91 was different point here is I’m particularly working with a 93 cluster manual transThat is not an '88 cluster, most likely a '92-'95. The early clusters did not have twist bulb sockets, they were mounted to the circuit board.
That is also why the dash assemblies are a different part number. The early clusters were thicker, and the main electrical plug was nearly flush with the rear of the cluster pocket. In the later dash units, the cluster plug protruded out from the back of the cluster pocket a little over an inch or so.Ok well I didn’t know 88-91 was different point here is I’m particularly working with a 93 cluster manual trans
Should all still be 194 t-10s
