Thats a great idea. Was there any trouble finding the 0 on the guages?
I put the line exactly were the orange line had been. I sanded then masked the line first when spraying the black background and then replaced that strip with a piece of transluscent white tape that I cut to size. Only modification to the gauge faces was on the fuel gauge, I had to extend the slot further on the full side as the line would disappear when the tank was full making it look empty. I have got a bunch of pictures that I took while doing it in case anyone else was interested.
