What is mileage ? When in distributor did you inspect distributor shaft ? When looking at timing with timing light at what rpm does engine advance ? Not cking base timing but cking for advance. Also service manuals can be downloaded from sticky thread above threads for your truck, give you a little reading material , look in f&e manual driveability symptoms also may help with thoughts or direction of diagnosis and repair
