Got the LIM off and this was my finding.

Any eroding of the aluminum?

You might as well clean up those valve covers and do the gaskets there, too. They're rubber/silicone, but they will leak eventually if they're not already.

That right angled vent on the passenger side valve cover is NLA, so be careful with it.

There's some pitting but nothing the gaskets can't seal. I'll pull the valve covers as well. What side us the right angle vent on? Anything I should be looking for on the distributor other than needing to replace the gasket?

Ok got it. Gotta replace the bypass hose and might do the intake bolts as well.

If you mean the bypass coolant hose, bulk hose works fine. In fact, I like the way bulk hose fits better than the angled hose that can be purchased. It's a matter of trimming it to length and then folding it to slide each end over the hose barbs, and then rotating it so the crease is then on the outside.

Check the drive gear on the distributor.

How about the oil pressure sensor? It's hard to get to on an assembled engine, so I'd guess it's easier now. It's on a ledge above the bellhousing, on the block. You'll want to verify the number of pins before ordering.

You might want to take a look at your plug wire holders since they attach at the valve cover bolts.

Heater hose connector? The quick connects to bad. The Dorman replacement is supposed to be better than the OEM part, but I switched to a hose barb.

Clean and regrease the icm with the appropriate heat sink compound?

New pcv grommet? They won't hold the valve well after awhile even if they're not falling apart.
