Glad you got it, but if not, reusing a accumulator has a high risk of the desiccant bag rupturing then your replacing the whole system
Yea, that was my worry. But once i started twisting the line going to the evaporator, images of having to tear apart the dash started flashing in my mind. Luckily it all worked out.

Understand that, somebody got mine at some point but it doesn't leak so I'll run it till I have to pull dash

Understand that, somebody got mine at some point but it doesn't leak so I'll run it till I have to pull dash
Assuming the evaporator is otherwise serviceable, warm it with a torch, put some reverse-torque on it with a box-end wrench, and maybe poke a large-diameter, lubricated tapered punch inside.

You can't make it worse than it already is, and you might be able to save it.
