Here is the FBM link.

Dude… it literally has water pouring out of it!! I would not buy that. Probably needs all new gaskets OR it’s cracked!!!

Sarcasm, btw.

Been trying to price some of the crap on it that I don't need. The exhaust manifolds might be worth $200 or so, bellhousing maybe $150, one d00d is asking $900 for the heat exchanger on eBay.

I also thought I could just slap all that on my old block and maybe sell it that way. Maybe I'll buy a boat, LOL. That's one purchase my wife would actually be "on board" with.

4k is nucking futs.

Here is a listing I pulled just a minute ago from FB marketplace, which isnt even in my state.

250k on engine, dealer replaced oil pump, runs good. Harness, accessories, all included.

Just found that without even trying. Forget that dinosaur stuff.

I will raise you an 8100. I find 8100s and even PSI 8.8Ls cheaper than 6.0L or 6.2L engines here. The GenV 6.2 or 6.6L bring less of a premium than the GenIVs do and the GenIIIs are mostly just worn out and junk now or basket cases.

You just said the 6.2's were 4k...

I ran big blocks for a looong time, not really here to play which is better. I just said 2500 is ooof. You do you, I don't really like the extra weight.

That's a rare AF Pete Jackson intake, btw.

I really don't want to LS or BB swap the intended recipient. I'm even second guessing if I want to do the marine intake now. I want it to look and drive stock(ish), but with 50+ more HP.

I re-read (or scanned) this thread but don't see what vehicle and computer you're talking about. 50 more HP than what? If it's a TBI, get a Vortec, if it's a Vortec, throw a cam in it. In either case, how's your intake and exhaust? Stuff to think about...

Something else to think about, as I recall a stock vortec 350 is rated at 330 hp in a marine application. It seems odd that this is only rated to 340.

Stop giving me bad ideas. I want the TBI 7.4 to last forever in my '93 C3500 but that's wishful thinking.. I don't need to make things worse by trying to swap an 8.1 or 8.8 into it at some point down the road. ;)

1996 Tahoe, so Vortec.

I don't want to deal with a big cam. Displacement would be the easiest daily driver upgrade.
