    While at idle or driving the voltage goes down by about a volt and the lights dim about every 30 seconds give or take. Replaced alternator about a thousand miles ago and just started developing this issue. Battery less than 6 months old and no battery light

    What would cause such a big difference? I was under the influence a 5th wheel would pull better and have better weight distribution. Also the truck has 3/4 ton springs which should eat the worst of the tongue weight difference

    Do you have a code scanner capable of reading data? Could tell you what the computer is interpreting and give you an idea what's causing the ecu to need to send more fuel.

    Is there any coolant getting into the oil or any oil being abnormally burned? Could point you towards intake manifold issues. Whether it's not sealing or possibly cracked.

    Have you tried disconnecting your battery for 30 seconds to reset the ecu then trying again?
