They are cast aluminum, IIRC. I'd wonder if it's cracked and it isn't apparent when off the engine, but the crack spreads when it's bolted down, might even be in an area that isn't visible but interferes with sealing.Is the part made out of pot metal? They are easily warped. Maybe find an aftermarket billet part.
Yes... Although I didn't have any issues with my 93 k1500 original bolts not having sealing washers. I think it's a mod/upgrade for some years. Or maybe mine has them and I don't recall.I believe it's more than just "a" gasket. I think the small block is a gasket, an o-ring, and I think the bolts are sealed in some manner as well.
both pics are the same package..Just front and back..//which should be the same for a 94 k1500I ultimately got a kit like the bagged one in the second pic in the prev post and it worked fine
Were you able to spot the difference between them?Threw one from the junkyard on boom no more flooding out. It still leaks when it's not running but it's very few drips. I'll get back in there someday but I'm happy with it for rn. Whoo!
