I had posted to use the Magnaflow 11386, but I actually put the Dynomax 17553 in the 97 K2500. The magnaflow went on my daughter 454 Square Body. Used the Dynomax Ultra Flo 17223 on my 75 F250, and crap is that loud!have to say if was I think this is what I would get it is a dynomax ultra flo with a built in x pipe https://www.dynomax.com/mufflers/ultra-flo-welded-x-mufflers
The flowmaster FX are pretty much a copy of the turbo magnaflow. I have a 3.5” single but I can’t do a clip as the engine is out. It sounded super melow with a stock TBI 350 but with the new engine it will be nice.Another vote for Magnaflow style. Flowmaster's FX mufflers are good and pretty cheap. The Cherry Bomb Salute is a good, cheaper option too. On my truck with stock cats the Salute sounded really nice, had a super deep idle and was really pretty quiet. Now that I donated the cats to a better cause, I've got FlowFX singles running into the Salute and it's got a nice deep idle and it's got quite a bit more bark to it now, sort of a tame glasspack sound when you stand on it. A little different on a big block, but it'd still make a 350 sound pretty mean.
I think if was going to run the flow fx series flowmaster I would go for the round body instead of the over rectangle bodyThe flowmaster FX are pretty much a copy of the turbo magnaflow.
