I have an 09 Ram 2500. Front driveshaft turns all the time, it just doesn't have any torque through it when in 2wd. So removing front drive shaft would help.

I would think these are the same but maybe not.
The " I would think " part keep that in your pocket. Dodge is not GM don't assume. We have great service manuals written in stone, no guessing. Dodge front shaft is disengaged from powertrain. Not " just doesn't have torque" going through.

I thought I was right but I very intentionally left the "I would think" in there to show my uncertainty as I'm not as familiar with these GMTs, so that that was my legal coverage.

Perhaps one day I will read through the service manual, today is not that day, yet.

Did it do it before you put new wheels/tires on it? or did the PO put them on?

If the truck in your avatar is the one in question, it has big tires, I'd be suspicious of any and all steering and suspension parts
No that's my old rig , it actually rode smoother and better then the new rig I have now . Of course all the suspension was replaced . Except for the wobble from the drive shaft, I order a Cunningham machine to swap out , but never had a chance too. So I can gauge bad suspension vs good suspension with the rig I have now . The po put those wheels on its rides rough ever since I bought it.

Yes, get an alignment CHECK but unless the caster is way out, an alignment will not cause a shake/vibes. Worn parts and tire wear from a bad alignment or worn parts can cause a shake/vibes. You can also have a slipped/bad belt in a tire that will cause shakes/vibes and hopefully that is found during the alignment check.
^^^^ That. Just because tires are new does not mean they are perfect. As I learned many moons ago, you can buy new parts that don't work right out of the box and some tires and wheels can be defective from manufacturer. It pays to check everything. How new are the shocks? Some crazy things have been found on automobiles. One recent one I recall was a guy had a brake drum or rotor not seating evenly on the hub so his wheel wobbled. Things like that happen a good bit with aftermarket parts.

Worn or goofy ball joints /suspension parts will make quick work out of causing tire cupping too. Especially with all terrains or more aggressive tread. I saw one video where a guy was measuring cupping just after getting new tires. Very few miles driven and it was already very apparent. Turned out his shocks were bad....
Have the tires been rotated to see if it changes the feel? I didn't scan back through....
