I pulled the oil cooler lines from my oil filter adapter but didn’t mark them when I pulled them. I notice on the oil filter adapter that one inlet is marked IN and the other is maker OUT. Can anyone tell me which lines running from the radiator go into which inlet on oil filter adapter?

Hi, I just ran into this question myself - below diagram is from page 6B-38 of 1997 FSM. It shows the lines crossing - upper radiator fitting to lower oil cooler adapter (IN) fitting. I haven't checked other years.

The K model four wheel drive uses the angled or horizontal oil filter cooler adapter with smaller filter, PF52. As the question was related to a K1500 that's the answer. As shown in the diagram . Note the cooler line routing on the four wheel adapter on the 4.3 , using the PF52 filter. Same adapter.

I know I’m late to to show but you want your out line to go to the top of the cooler, just like with your coolant, out goes to the top, something to do with cooling efficiency, it just works better that way
