Does it matter which way the hoses go on an aux trans cooler for 5.7l vortec 4l60e?

Mine have all been the opposite at the radiator. Fluid inlet at the top, outlet on the bottom.Yes. It does.
Trans case lower line to radiator lower line.
Radiator upper line to aux inlet, pass side.
Aux cooler driver side to trans case upper line.
You want the hot fluid to go into the radiator to cool down, then the aux. cooler to cool down more.
You don't want the fluid to get cooled in the aux. cooler, then heated back up in the radiator.

Factory on the Tahoe, both my Express and Tahoe ran them as I describe. My 99 Tahoe 2wd had HD cooling as well. The van was self installed, but factory GM lines. There is only one way they fit on the 4L80E in it.My Yukon has HD cooling. OE runs them as I described.
Are yours factory or self-installed?
Ok thanks, so which port on this aux cooler would be the inlet? Top or bottom?Yes. It does.

Inlet on the bottom. That's the best way to vent any air bubbles: by not trapping them.Ok thanks, so which port on this aux cooler would be the inlet? Top or bottom?
Why do you have the cooler mounted sideways?Ok thanks, so which port on this aux cooler would be the inlet? Top or bottom?
