Ya know, I'm used to places like GMPartsdirect always killing you on the S&H, so I guess I'm not surprised to see other online GM dealers doing the same. For my truck, the GM is $176.00 + $340.00 shipping from gmpartsgiant.com

I actually did see some elsewhere for about $450.00, but still a joke. I’ve got many years of laminating experience, and I’ll do it myself for under $50.00. That’s material, glue and new retainer clips. Of course I’m working for free, but I’m retired.Ya know, I'm used to places like GMPartsdirect always killing you on the S&H, so I guess I'm not surprised to see other online GM dealers doing the same.
I looked up when I ordered the insulator pad for the 2006 Silverado SS - it was September 2016 (!) looked up the part # on whatever dealer site, then found it on amazon. GM 15844375 $147.30 and FREE shipping, then $9 somewhere else for a sack of the correct retainers. That part # is discontinued now, of course. (BTW the amazon seller it came from was a GM dealer in Scottsdale - Van Chevrolet)

Edit: The Wurth product is 3 can minimum and $25 EACH! Not Wurth it.
I would’ve, but 3 can minimum. Crossing my fingers on the Thermo-Tec, it is rated for higher temps too.I have used it, far superior to the 3M stuff.
Never used to see their products outside of shop use. They had traveling salesmen going shop to shop. Maybe still do. Alot of their stuff is top notch. Some of the best drill bits I've ever used.I would’ve, but 3 can minimum. Crossing my fingers on the Thermo-Tec, it is rated for higher temps too.
We had a bunch of Wurth at my little brother's place. And yeah, a rep would come by and try to stock us up on all kinds of stuff, a lot of it we didn't need. Out there on the shop floor selling to all the guys. Definitely a lot of high quality stuff. I think all I personally have left from it is a utility knife and some notepads..Never used to see their products outside of shop use. They had traveling salesmen going shop to shop. Maybe still do.
