Hey guys I'm doing the same swap. I bought the same 60mm spacers, although the spacers are not sitting flush on the flange , should I expect this or do I need to make the circle diameter bigger ? Help! Sent from my SM-N960U using Tapatalk

Not sure if other people have been running into this problem, but do not run those spacers until you can get them to bolt up flush to the axle flange. You need to enlarge the center of the spacer to allow it to mate up with the flange or it could work loose.

I put the whole thing on my ff that had drums. Made a template and cut it out cut the old mount off and welded the new on after I assembled it bleed the brakes and held them on before I welded them to get the flange where it needed to be. What a difference in stopping power

So i may be a big dumb dumb. i bought new axles and studs for my 14b axle, installed the calipers and rotors, everything seems fine. I go to mount the wheels and the studs do not poke out very far past the wheel. I bought gmt400 spec studs which are 43 or 44 mm long m14x1.5. The gmt800 studs are 58mm. I measured the lug and how much thread engagement it had, it was close to 14mm. It looks like its barely threaded since there still is another 15mm to be flush with the lug end, which is coincidentally the difference in length of the gmt400-gmt800 lug size. Ive seen some searching saying that thread engagement equal to the lug width (14mm) is good enough, which is what i have basically. Or should i whack the studs out and put in gmt800 studs to get them flush with the lugs

Replace the studs. Do not run them without the studs coming all the way through the lug nuts.

I agree that you want good thread engagement but remember the typical gmt400 lugs have a long stretch of unthreaded area at the top end. Isn't rule of thumb you want thread engagement to at least equal the width of the fastener (14mm in this case) ?

That is the “rule” i kept seeing on google searches, Which is what i have, i double checked the measurements. The last 10mm or so of the lug has no threads so getting flush with them really doesn’t do anything is my thought.
