My 1993 Sierra has power doors and windows and earlier today I read all my RPO codes and my truck came with manual A/C controls but I guess someone put the digital controller in.

I have AU3. I have read online that some 1993 models had it and tahoes and trailblazers. I read in some forums on here about AU0. I would like to retrofit it I don’t have it.

Put an aftermarket in. They work better and probably cheaper than finding and adding that old system in. Good luck

do you have a good one that you’ve used? I put one in a hardbody nissan years ago it was okay but the fob was garbage. all the fobs look like they’ll break

I bought this Avital from forum member @Wh4t3v3rs(not sure if he still sells them), it was about $80.00 2 years ago. Good range and works flawlessly.

Just to clarify, don't let terminology trip you up - you have manual A/C. What they mean is that it doesn't have an automatic setting where it determines temperature and fan speed for you - instead, you set it, i.e. manual. All the 88-94 factory A/C GMT400's have the digital controls.

My 94 chevy suburban has power windows and power locks as well. All regulators / latches work perfectly and I was wondering a similar thing.
How would I find out if I've got the 'right set up' ?

It’s certainly a good candidate for an aftermarket like the Avital I posted above. The remote start is an added bonus to an original type system.

@Caman96 This is a piggy back question, have you personally considered adding a theft deterrent kill switch? I'm not that mechanically inclined to understand whether or not, having a kill switch would prevent the remote start to work. I'm almost certain "wiring it the right way" is an acceptable answer, just haven't seen anything about it combined.
