Hitch installed; I need to sort out the wiring and get the 7/4 pigtail wired in.

Went to install the front hitch but I realized I'm missing hardware. I've got the tow-hooks, the backing plates, even the extra bolts that go on the back of the hitch. Making a junkyard run next weekend so I'll probably grab the hardware needed as well as the bolts for the skidplate; I've had an aluminum skid plate that was on my brother's K2500.

Going to try and get the cab visor on, replace the LEDs in the cluster and remove the steps tomorrow, then it'll be back on daily duty for a little while

Glad you got that solved…I made a square tube to protect my 7 pin from getting rolled into. Dale Sr was my favorite driver too

I like that; might have to steal that idea! I've been lucky enough to not break any trailer plugs; but that doesn't mean I won't. I found a USCAR style pigtail, the style they use on newer trucks, just need to get em wired in.
I've got Sr. stuff on both of my trucks, the plate was something I found at a local antique store. My buddy has a black 3 plate on his truck so naturally I had to have the camo one.
First thing I did to this truck was slap an old Dale Earnhardt Sr. sticker on the back of the truck; my red truck has two stickers, one on the extended cab window and a Shiti Coolers parody decal on the back.

Sadly, I remember seeing the crash on TV; I was about 5 years old at the time? I knew it was bad, just didn't know how bad.

I remember that day; I was in Conroe (north of Houston) at the swap meet, with the family. We'd been set up that weekend, did okay as I recall. We were putting the last couple of things in the ol square body burb and I was making sure we'd got everything picked up and loaded, when one of the promoter's crew came running up to the group of vendors in our area, who were all loading up. "Hey man, did ya hear what happened at Daytona?" he says. None of us had heard yet, so he proceeded to tell us. Got kinda quiet for a few minutes....

Scored a free PMD and heat sink this weekend!
Came off a 6.5 Suburban, bought the bumper to install on the red truck, and I went to take this off and the guy said I could keep it. Going to try and go back this weekend for the extension harness and a couple other things in addition to a new driver's side rear door.

Ditto on #3. I was probably about the same age at the time of the crash. I have an ancient 3 decal on my ‘92 that I think my dad put on right when he got the truck in ‘98. He was also a big Jr. fan and had that decal too.
