How heavy a coat of clear did you get on there? Enough to finish sand and buff?

It didn't turn out exactly as planned. But is what it is. I'm sure I can "salvage" it one I wet sand and do the buffing thing next weekend hopefully.Pulling for you ....cant wait to see the final result. My .02c be really patient and let that dry really good before taking it outside .......
You really need to invest in some spray equipment even if you just cut those Duplicolor cans open and pour them into a decent spray gun. I've done that several times for touch up or graphics. It didn't turn out exactly as planned. But is what it is. And if not, oh well. Try again sometime in the future.
You didn't get it wet enough. Next time try a tack coat and two flood coats. You will have very little finish sanding and buffing if you do it like that. You must be registered for see images attach
Hopefully you can see the texture/orange peel in this one.
Lol.... that's actually pretty smart!I always had my best results spraying in the morning. I converted the office in my shop into a spray booth. Two reasons,I needed a sterile environment to paint in and when people asked if I could paint their cars or trucks I'd tell them that if it wont fit through the door I ain't painting it. I did let a guy talk me into painting a Bugati kit car body, the pieces fit through the door.
Oh for sure, once the real time comes, I will have good stuff to do it.You really need to invest in some spray equipment even if you just cut those Duplicolor cans open and pour them into a decent spray gun. I've done that several times for touch up or graphics.
