I found this board searching for hard steering issues for a friend's Blazer. GMT400 was the first on the list. Before that I had never heard of it. What have I been missing???

Anyway, here now, paid my membership and hope I can find the answer to a few insignificant issues on my full-size 94 Blazer. I hope this is the right board.

I had been scouring the internet for service manuals, torque specs, and any helpful "skip that step and do it this way" kind of information back in 2012 (17 at the time) for my dad's 98 Silverado which was my first fuel injection job that wasn't a tractor. And of course, everything i needed was found here. I had always come back to it when searching for information. I finally joined in 2021 because I had recently picked up a 1990 C1500 with 292,000 on the clock for $700 that was owned small business to use as a beater for things around the house (dump runs, i need some lumber, dammit another friend is moving kind of errands) and had to chase what an employee who "knows how to fix stuff" had done, example: JB Weld the O2 sensor bung closed. I must say, this site never fails me. Whether its someone who has an answer to a one off issue, or reminding me that sometimes I'm dumber than I think and the answer is right in front of me.

Kinda how I've been here for years and just found an Introduction section :p

I would like to know who you found this place. Please look over the poll and choose the one that helped you find the place ;)
I bought a lifted 90 Chevy K1500 s/b std cab to replace my 90 GMC Sierra K1500. The Chevy, or white truck in my avatar, has what I can't really do. Paint/body/interior upholstery.
As I'm unfamiliar with lifted IFS i was just researching what I got into. So here I be, considering dropping it. Everything in the front end is at it's extreme angles. I know how things work together and the hairs on my neck stand up when I look at the angles. At least I have the stock GMC to study & compare but it's also good to hear what others have done. Either get it to work right or MAKE it work right.
