Hey all,

On my 93, my inside door handle just flops in the breeze. It operates just fine, but is loose.

Any known fix for this or just replace? What’s the cause?

Also, what’s a good brand to buy? I know nine years would be a good option but that’s not an option where I live.. all the good owners of those places are long gone.

Doesn't happen very often but there's a spring on the handle that breaks. I've never tried replacing just the spring as I've had spare good used handles in the past.

Here's a view from the backside, courtesy Rockauto's listing for a Dorman replacement part. You can see the spring at the far right end of the assembly; it's wrapped around the pivot point for the handle:

Can't speak for the quality of aftermarket interior handles for the early interior style, but at less than $12, it's probably worth taking a chance.
