Windshield wipers barely last six months.

^^^ I'll claim at least a couple exemptions on this:

I always use Toyota and Honda OE replacement rubber blades and they last for-EV-r. I bet I go 5+ years on a set of blades, maybe longer.

I do wipe them off every time I have a wet rag in my hand to remove dirt, etc.

When my vehicles are stored, I prop the wipers off / away the windshield with a plastic cap to relax the rubber.

I remember years (decades) ago, when putting new boots onto CV shafts was a popular repair.

Yes...

Sometime after Farrah Fawcett and Victoria Principal were objects of desire,

And before "twerk" was a word,

I replaced the boots on our '89 Accord.

Another thing they suk at is cardboard. I always know when something is made in China just by its cardboard box. They can’t even make good cardboard.
A little humidity and it turns back into paper maché. lol Probably made with their trash like they do their drywall.

I don't know if anyone keeps track of anything like this but I have since I retired and my cousin that moved from Paradise, Ca. to Warrensburg, Mo., said she was the best at peeling boiled eggs. I did some research and have a certain way of boiling the eggs, time and method wise. I then have set times of 18 eggs peeled in 6 minutes and I just did 24 eggs in 11 minutes. No joke and no lie.

I accidently posted this here.

I'll be dealing with this soon, I am sure.

I almost think the bearing assembly touches the first inner fold at enough of an angle, but also dirt is constantly compressed and ground it also, along with wear from so much movement.

GoToGuy with the silicone boot idea kinda got me researching, and while I did find some labelled as silicone and direct from china on Ebay, I came across this site too.

Person could probably install them with a funnel, instead of their tool, but they sure are stretchy. They show a cutaway of how thick they are also. My axles, which may well be old GM have hard boots on them. Seems like these with a little more spacing, and a softer material that wont abrade as easy might be worth looking into. They say they make them longer to ride further in on the shaft, instead of being all bunched up at the end.

Haven't taken any measurements, and yeah obviously haven't tested them yet either, but thought I'd share. Maybe someone else has already been down this road, and they are trash. I dunno. The stretchyness might be a bad thing, if they are out of balance with grease.

Even summit has a whole bunch of pages of CV boots.

I imagine most axles from the parts stores have the cheapest crap installed on them as possible.

Growing up, my mom one of six kids was the one who cooked with and trained under with her mom. It's rural , farm, ranch country. Not the evil, messed up, stupid...
Mom always said " one secret to perfect deviled eggs was planning ahead " . According to her using eggs that had relaxed (?). Like not using really fresh eggs to hard boil. When they sit in fridge for few days , hard boiling those eggs , the shell just slid off , no damage to hardend white. Everybody was big fan of her deviled eggs at parties, family get togethers. Like fifty or more eggs. " Yes mom, I'll peel eggs mom" . :waytogo:

My girl gets the brown eggs. They seem to peel easier and taste better. They sit for 5 days in the fridge. Then they go in a pan and have about 1" of water over the top. I bring to a boil and then turn off the burner and cover and if I have 24 eggs, like today, I let them sit there for 25 minutes. Then I take them off and run warm water in to the pan and pour off the boiled water a little at a time and when the water has cooled enough that I can keep my hands in the very warm water, then I start my peeling process. I have a certain way I do that as well. If I crack the shell just right and squeeze just right, one of the ends will pretty much fall off and then I work my way down and keep dipping in water, to get water under the membrane that I have broken when getting the end off. The shells come off pretty easy and quick for me.

Some people say to take them off stove and shock them with cold water. I completely disagree.
