^^ as in, would it supply too much fuel pressure for stock application? Im pretty sure it will physically fit from what I have read

The fuel pressure regulator will "regulate" the operating fuel pressure. It's always a good idea to check the pressure and confirm it is operating within the expected range, especially if modifications are being made. The fuel pressure regulator won't allow the pressure to exceed a certain level, some aftermarket regulators are adjustable and the peak pressure can be set higher or lower than the factory specification.
I’ve got a Walbro 5CA400 in my 5.7 Vortec, which is the correct Walbro. Are you looking for more fuel pressure?

No, I’m just looking for a good reliable fuel pump replacement for a stock 5.7 vortec. If I’m not looking for extra fuel pressure, should I go with the 5CA400 then?

It says that this pump puts out 50 psi on that website, doesn’t the vortec need like 60 ish psi?
