I have put roughly 50 miles on the truck since doing a rebuilt th400 and junkyard 350. So far everything's good. I had to unstick a ring in the engine as it did smoke but after a few hard runs it quit smoking. It also had a little bit of blowby but its all but gone now. I have a feeling this engine sat on a shelf for quite awhile before I got it.

So am I. I plan on driving it this summer. Bodywork will come this fall I still have a engine block that will eventually turn into a 406 for it as well.

The truck looks pretty good now that I've buffed and compounded the paint. It's still going to the body shop this fall

Ignore the mess. I have my engine block back and ready to assemble once the rotating assembly is in. It's going to need clearance work as well. I'm doing a custom kit

There you go man,can't get finished till you get started.
Remember to keep it sterile,a 1/2 teaspoon of sand will wipe it out almost immediately. One grain will wipe out a main or rod bearing.

cam shaft is in. I'd already have the short block done but I dropped my ring filer and the stone shattered. I have replacements on the way.
