I'm glad you got it worked out. @Schurkey was just trying to get the specifics so he didn't give you wrong information. That said, there's still a lot of variabilities in regards to transmissions. For example there's 4l60e, 4l80e, 700r4, NV4500, NV3500, etc... 1994 came with 4 transmission options: 4l60e, 4l80e, nv3500, and nv4500. It helps to be descriptive, for example I personally don't know what year they switched from 700r4 to 4l60e.

Biggest difference for transfer cases: "light duty" automatic transmissions (4l60e) used a 27 spline input shaft on the transfer case, "heavy duty" autos (4l80e) and all manuals use a 32 spline.

There's 3 different transfer cases I know of for these trucks: NP241 - manual floor shift; NP243 - push button 4x4; NP246 - push button 4x4 PLUS automatic 4wd

As long as the spline count is correct any of them should bolt up. However, the electronics are not compatible.
They switched to 4l60e in 1993, 1992 was the last 700r4 in k1500’s. 4l80e’s were only in c2500 and k2500. NV series only came in the 3500’s and up i believe, but definitely they didnt come in c & k1500s. Yes the transfer cases in any 1500s series are NP241 for the manual floor shift. 95 i think or 96, cant remember now, is when they started the pushbutton 4x4 switching. Regardless, i already knew the answers to the questions i was asking.. i just wanted confirmation honestly. But if the specific things i mentioned werent enough to understand, there no reason to yell at me… a few “…???” Of them would have driven the point home much better in my opinion i believe.. that or a direct message ask me to clarify. Oh also, the only difference between a 700r4 and a 4l60e, is the “e”, its the same tranny, but the 4l60e is an electronic shift aspect. Its a 700r4 with electronic shift basically.
