T4 are brighter and make it light up better so you can see it.The t3 don't give off much light, I put in t4 white ones and like em alot put them in 3 trucks . Got 20 off ebay quite awhile ago for $6.25. They both fit the same t4 just make it more crisp. Hope this answers your ?

Yea I like the white bulbs drove the truck for years with the factory bulbs that barely lit up, then installed the white t4's and it was like I wish I would have done this sooner,I really like the way the hot cold switch looks with them . I actually thought my factory bulbs were burned out but they were not they are so weak.

t4's have been in mine for a few years now no trouble at all getting them in, trucks they are in are 1993 and 2 1994's k1500's. I never took them out after I put them in, haven't had to they seem to last fine . You must have really cranked on them to screw your sockets up . I turned mine in till snug didn't crank on them mabe 1/4 turn or so give or take.

I think the problem lies within the leds.. the t3 has 1 single led, these t4 have 3 leds. And the orientation of the tabs vs which way the leds run horizontally didnt mate up.

trust me i kno it only takes less than 1/4 turn. But i could barely get the leds thru the hole to ever let the base try to do the 1/4 turn
