Re-pin ignition cylinder

I bought the truck a few months ago. He only gave me one key. The key works in the ignition cylinder and the drivers door lock cylinder. Can I buy a pair of door lock cylinders with new keys and re-pin the ignition cylinder to work with the new keys?

You can, but if you mess up it's a job!
They sell the matched sets with door cylinders too

If you want to use your current key, id get a new key from the dealer by vin, then have a locksmith rekey a new tumblr to that, its also DIYable but i havent ever tried

I could take the unmatched cylinder from the door and have them match it, correct? Instead of buying a new cylinder.
