ok to drive without inspection cover?

i crawled under my tahoe the other day and its missing the inspection cover? ive been driving it like this for a couple weeks and it hasnt hurt anything but i was wondering if i can eventually hurt something? it never sees any offroad except around the yard a little bit. no major mud or anything. thanks yall

theres always a chance of road debris lodging inbetween the converter and pump that could possably damage the front pump seal, you could also end up damaging the flexplate or even the converter. Probably not a big issue if your not Offroad but even then i would find a replacement and get it put on as soon as you can.
