First thing welcome to forum. Is there any history to go along with your parts replacement ? You can download service manual(s) for your truck from sticky thread above titled 88-98 service manuals. This will help you alot. As far as what your asking, I would ck for correct voltage and good grounds. Sounds like you will also could use a dvm and scanner to see if any codes stored and scan data is very valuable when troubleshooting. Good luck

Are ALL the fuses good? Is there power to the ignition coil?

When you have the scan tool connected, does the computer have an RPM signal?

Is the distributor cap in good condition? Failures from the center button to #3 conductor are frightfully common.

x2 about #3 conductor failures on the cap. Try unplugging spark plug wire 3 and starting it. If it starts, you got a bad distributor cap.
