Hello everyone,

Name is Chris from Dallas. My son inherited his grandfathers 96 swb. We are rebuilding it together. It 'had' a 4.3 vortec.
First thing we did when he got the truck was to pull the engine and install the only cam we could find from ProComp. Replaced the valves and springs. New spider injection, headers etc. PIA motor mounts. (welding next time) He has saved for the past 2 years and finally got a blueprint 383 stroker.

We are now in the process of cleaning everything up and deleting what we no longer need. Project is moving along pretty good. We keep getting deeper and deeper as we pull it apart. Stuck in the "might as well while we are here" mode. lol

Fun stuff.

I will be needing some help soon on this Holley Terminator X max set up and trying to maintain the functions of the cluster. Thanks for all the info shared here. Makes things easier.

Later for now!

Chris

Greetings from the finger lakes region of upstate NY. There are folks from
literally all over the world in here who are willing to share what they know from
hard-won experience.

And good on you for doing this with your son, for you will be making memories
that last a lifetime. As well as teaching him the value of sweat equity. Very cool.

Welcome --
