Engine swap help...

So, to get right to it. I'm a build on my 96 k1500. Was planning on a 6.0(2012) build for it, but recently aquired a 2015 5.3 with only 140k on it. DOD lifter crapped out and bent pushrod. Got the engine for a steal of a deal. engine itself is perfect down to the cam. Should i keep doing the 6.0 or start replanning for the newer 5.3?

6.0, bigger makes more tq/hp to start with plus a good cam will wake it up too.

But the 5.3 is good also, the gen4 5.3 has flat tops, 243 heads, big injectors, good intake (same as tbss).

Just remember, every LS needs a set of rear gears.

GenIV 6.0L with a 6spd behind it. Will not need to re-gear it with the 6spd, IMO.

It's actually a gen V engine.
