The axle manufacturer's don't recommend reinstalling axle / saddle U bolts, as there a torque spec item and the amount stress / fatigue they expect to experience should be one time use practice. And considering how important they are I'm going with that checklist item.
I know that, I was just kidding :anitoof:

On the truck that came attached to the plow I bought last year. Hopefully will get to breathe new life (and U-bolts) into the truck.

When I replaced my leaf springs this is how the bolts looked. Since I had already ordered new ones, I'd be tempted to reuse them :rolleyes:

I cheated - these bolts were only 18 years old ;)

My bolts in my 1500 were that clean, so I reused them. I also cheated, they were like 13 or 14 years old at the time.
