So I have a 1998 Vortec 350 and I'm looking at a cam swap to get a little more power out of it. I'm not a bank I'm trying to keep this in a good budget that i can.

So far these are the parts I have
Cam-https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-8802
Retainers-https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-174003-3
Valve stem seal-https://www.amazon.com/Fel-Pro-SS72861-Valve-Stem-Seal/dp/B000C2CM8O/ref=sr_1_1?sr=8-1&_encoding=UTF8&linkId=f2acb2d1583b0140c077ce4ac55ffb1b&camp=1789&creative=9325
Springs-https://www.summitracing.com/parts/sum-174004

This all totals out to $561.46 would I would like to know is what I'm missing and I've heard that I can use the stock lifters below 6,000 rpm, (I'm not trying to rev to the moon). I know I need a new timing chain set and what not but what would be the bang for my buck. And if their are any tips or anything that I should know when I dig this hole. Also I didn't forget about the tune because it's a 98 computers are fun and I'm planning to do the 0411 swap the ECU. I'm not planning to change that injectors that's a future problem or if you guys know some budget friendly injectors. i've seen videos of people doing the same exact thing but I would just like to know alittle more than what they are telling me and no i'm not taking off the heads or machining the heads the goal is to leave them and and swap all the new on. But the big thing I would like to know is what else i need and what I should know so if i could get any heads up or just any info i need then let me know because I do not want to do it twice.

That cam is a little larger than what I have in WCJr. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/lun-20080720

The parts selection looks good, but your link for the valve seals is the link to the retainers. If they're positive valve seals you might not have room for them. You'll need to measure to make sure.

You shouldn't need new injectors, but I think you'll be at the limit of the factory injection. When I first installed my engine in my '99 Suburban the factory fuel injection had no problem keeping up with the engine's fuel needs. It wasn't tuned right, but I could romp on it full-throttle without it stalling out like it did later with the TBI.

Yeah, it'll be close. Check your clearance. I went with old-style umbrella seals in my engine.
