Love the raptor on that burb. After looking at the picture for a bit I see a burb, bbq ribs and a beer..I need to bbq ribs today.
thats exactly the reflection I will have on 4th of july. just gotta look past the matte finish of the raptor lol.

here some photos of my food/bbq; I wish i would take more photos the food shots are from last year when i was still working out the kinks of my smoker. I think my food looks much better this year. the first shot is us getting set up for an event

So bobby's big block decided to give up on Wednesday. Unfortunately I don't have time to investigate it right now and I bought myself a 02 Yukon xl 2500 to finish out my summer season.
I did check my codes and it was showing two codes for the crank shaft position sensor. it does crank but has a rough idle; my coolant is dark and I have some sparkly on my dipstick. I suspect I wont like what happened which is why I went and jumped on something to help me finish off my summer. bobby will sit until I have time to investigate and than figure out a plan to move forward with it.

Sorry for your unfortunate issues with Bobby but I have full faith that you will get it back up and running in due time.

My advice is this:

1. Don’t rush, take your time and think things out.

2. For a work vehicle a 6.0 LS swap is worth it!

3. If your transmission is healthy just swap the engine however if it’s not then look into finding a L-96 6.0 and 6 speed trans to swap in.

4. Have fun and keep us posted!

thanks I will likely go with whatever is going to be cheapest/easiest. I have very little experience swapping motors. could be a opportunity to learn; but I am going to take my time and try and follow the rule that the best solution is the simplest.

Likely another 454; however, I for sure entertained the less simple option of swapping my obs body onto my now new 02 frame/driveline. but pretty sure my wife would not stay my wife if i attempted to make two vehicles one.

Just a little update for closure on bobby. I folded under my wife pressure to sell and sold bobby to someone who will hopefully do what I couldn't.

And so it was.. my wife was happy... until I bought and came home with a 1993 chevy s-10 with the 4.3 v6 manual 4x4.
So now i am in the dog house but whatever, this thing is clean and will make a fun project; Plan to do body work and paint on it while keeping the budget under what I feel I can sell it for unlike I did with previous builds. I don't have to many photos as I just brought it home last night and have only had enough time to do a walk through assessing things that need to be addressed.

Overall its in great shape for a over 30 year old s10. only rust rot I can find is a fender and a battery tray which is maybe 100 dollars shipped in parts via lmc. No oil leaks under the rear diff, transmission, or transfer case. I haven't looked closely at the motor yet. Interior needs a few things but I may have one of the nicest dashes in the s10 community outside the garage kept pristine ones.

I'll upload a few more photos after I get some time this weekend
