Air bags with flip kit

I just bought air bags for the rear that fit with my flip kit. My question is has any one tried removing some leafs from the springs to make the air bag carry the weight and just have the main leaf to locate axle?

It can be done but you will get axle wrap and wheel hop if you mono leaf. I did it to my suburban but I didn’t fully mono leaf it. I have maybe 3-4in of height adjustment. Back in the mini truck days a lot of people would mono leaf and run air shocks to achieve what you’re talking about.

IIRC the early Camaro, Firebird and Nova had wheel hop issues on hard acceleration because of having mono leaf rear suspension.
