Looking for some advice on a planned 6+" rear drop.
Currently the truck has a 4" drop with a shackle/hanger rear set up [came with the truck].
Wanted to go 6-7" rear so I bought a flip kit/notch and replacement hangers.
Well Im ready to install now but got to thinking (I know...never overthink lol]. Maybe I should just run a stock shackle and a set of Belltech/Streat Edge leafs and keep the front drop hangers.
Technically that should give 4" leafs + 2" hangers = 6" rear right. Or run the drop shackle at 1" to give me a 7" drop.
Any cons to going this route over a flip kits? I know pinion angle may get dicey, hopefully some shims can fix that.
Also want to know how's the ride quality with those drop leafs? I'm not towing or hauling at all these days.
Will C-notch either way I go.
Thanks!
