Not sure if you still need an answer but for the benefit of anyone else w/the same question, ill respond....

Yes

Change out the pump assembly, valve body, spacer plate, wiring harness (if still factory - Rostra harnesses will work for any year 93-2002) and 3-2 solenoid from the 95.
Case was unchanged between those years except for the MLPS mounting bolt hole locations which doesn't impact you if you're going from 96-97 to 95.

ETA: overhaul the rest of the transmission while you're at it so you dont have to deal with it again for a good long while.

block the 3-2 shift valve and leave the 95 3-2 sensor plugged in and hanging in the pan to keep the CEL off.
