TDC distributor picture?

20 deg advance at idle according to my hptuners. it can't read the cam offset without the 411 PCM upgrade unfortunately.

TDC distributor picture?

Anyone have one? I'm wondering if mine is off by a tooth. The rotor was pointed towards the 8, but not dead on, offset a little counterclockwise. It starts and drives around the neighborhood just fine, would being off 1 tooth cause a drastic change in the engine performance? Setting a P1345...

It took a while, but I finally got it done. It started without issue, but is throwing a p1345 code. Unfortunately my HPTuners doesn't have the ability to read the right sensor to set the distributor (should have bought EFILive), so I'll have to take it to someone to get it done. Hopefully it's...

No I didn't, engine isn't put back together yet, but I should have everything assembled by tomorrow. I went back and tightened them as I was supposed to, and it seemed fine. Didn't noticed any collapsed lifter or anything... rockers had slight side to side play after setting them to zero lash...

Had a brain fart today as I was reinstalling the rockers, rods, and new lifters. Was torquing down the rocker arms to 22 ft-lb for some reason. They were like that for maybe 10-15 minutes before I noticed my mistake... any chance I damaged anything?

Oh well. I would have marked it, but the procedure in the service manual for installing a distributor without marking it made it sound pretty easy to install and easy to see if it wasn't in the proper alignment. Anything else I should know for reassembly? The LS motors are considerably...

Finally going to get around to finishing it this week. Got the heads on and torqued, just need to get the rest reassembled. Largest thing I'm worried about is the fuel spider and the distributor. Didn't mark the distributor since I figured I'd be rotating the engine to torque the rockers... sort...

How should I clean surface rust from cylinder walls? Or should I just ignore it? I think I might also have some pitting on the walls, but I can't if it's coolant residue or rust 'cause I don't watch the try scratch it off in case I knick the cylinder wall. Car hasn't been ran in a little less...

I've yet to pull the other head. There might very well be a crack on it too, although compression test seemed fine when I did it a while back. Wasn't planning on any machine work if it looked solid. Ideally the motor should be replaced, but I don't have the funds to just throw at this car that...
