RCX VS. Zone Offroad Suspension lift?

 Taco But yes, Taco is correct. My 6" Pro Comp has treated me well, but you can't beat the RCX kit for the price. And I think he means the Realift torsion bar relocators when he says "True Lift torsion bar relocators".

RCX VS. Zone Offroad Suspension lift?

http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/88-98-6lug.htm If I were doing it over again and keeping IFS, I'd do that one (or the RCX) and do their shackle flip kit in the rear with a zero-rate AAL and call it good.

    Max tire size

37's can be done with a 3" body + 2" crank as long as you use narrow(ish) wheels with decent backspacing.... oohunter04oo has 37x12.50x16 boggers on 16x8 Mickey Thompson classic locks on his Silverado Z71 with a 3" body + 2" crank

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

I'll take some pics tomorrow if I get a break at work. Pro Comp makes skid plates for our kits.... They're just another thing on my list of things to buy: http://www.summitracing.com/parts/exp-51188/overview/make/chevrolet/model/k1500 or...

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

I don't know about 15" wheels... anything I've ever had in the 15" range has been steel for offroad stuff. One thing though is if you want to go bigger than 35's one day, then go ahead and invest in some 17" wheels as most tire companies don't make any tires bigger than 35's for 15's anymore...

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

If I could do it over again, I would've just ditched the IFS and done an SAS but that's just me. But yes... everything is truly dropped 6". The only reason I'm cranked at all is to level it with the rear... I'm getting some longer shackles here soon to drop the rear some then I'll take the...

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

Funny how I just logged in and checked this right after you posted... Anyways, from what I understand, the Superlift 5"-7" is just a ~5" drop that you can crank to the 7" mark whereas my Pro Comp, and I imagine that the K2500 version would be the same, is a complete 6" drop that I have cranked...

    Post your lifted 2wd's!

My dad has an RC 4" on his truck, converted to 6 lug, and is running my old stock 16x7 wheels with 285's. It looks identical to my truck back when it was stock as far as the stance goes except there isn't a frame hanging down like 4x4's. I'm sorry but I don't have any pics of it on my comp. I'll...

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

Well, mine is. I don't see any reason why that one wouldn't be. Don't use the lift blocks that come with the kit tho... axle wrap is a b*tch. Either get replacement leafs or do a shackle flip with an AAL of some sort.

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

Honestly, I can't really give you advice about either of those kits as I don't have personal direct/indirect experience with them nor have I ever researched them. I do however have a 6" Pro Comp on my K1500 that I have absolutely no complaints about and they do make a kit for your K2500 also...

Superlift or Tuff Country 6 inch 8 lug lift ( Sticky need your help!!)

I'd go with the Tuff Country from these guys... http://offroaddesign.com/catalog/88-98-8lug.htm And, if it were me, I'd get their Shackle Flip brackets, greasable rear bushings, their ubolt flip kit, and a pair of zero rate AAL's to level the rear with the front. Then top it all off with a set...

Realift relocators with 6" Pro Comp

Yeah apparently if your drop brackets are ~5" then there isn't any need to modify the transmission crossmember but drop brackets greater than that ~5" mark may require some sort of modification to the transmission crossmember. I'm aware that the torsion bar crossmember will need to be relocated...

Realift relocators with 6" Pro Comp

Yeah I remember reading that in his thread a lil while ago. From what I understand after a little further research, the Realift's were designed with a Superlift kit which apparently is a ~5" drop kit like the RCX whereas my Pro Comp is a full 6" drop. I guess I may have to get some and...

Realift relocators with 6" Pro Comp

Does anybody have this combo? Only reason I'm asking is I'm curious if I'll have to modify my trans crossmember in order to make them work. Thanks in advance fella's. Truck info: '93 K1500, 6" Pro Comp w/ mild crank on 35's

Max tire size for 4 and 6 inch IFS 1998 GMC lift?

:word: That's some good advice. Yes, it'll make the initial install cost more but it'll be worth doing it while everything is taken apart.

Max tire size for 4 and 6 inch IFS 1998 GMC lift?

I have a buddy with an OBS with a 4" ProComp sitting on 315x75x16 BFG's with stock wheels and it clears just fine. Granted BFG's run kinda small but still

Max tire size for 4 and 6 inch IFS 1998 GMC lift?

You won't even have to trim if you do a SMALL bit of crank and run stockers or wheels close to stock specs. Check out dcz71's or SouthernPride's trucks for some pointers and drool moments.

Max tire size for 4 and 6 inch IFS 1998 GMC lift?

yes... have any pics? I'm tossing around the idea of dropping my current lift for something smaller and swapping back to stock wheels but still keeping the 35's since I'm regeared with 4.88's....

    Truck suddenly running rough

ok guys... here's how everything played out. It was just as simple as I had hoped and I can't believe I missed it earlier but it is what it is... Unbeknownst to me, my spark plug wire for cylinder 4 has been resting against my header for God knows how long thus burning a hole through the wire...
