    The Stupid Lowered Questions Thread

I have found that 17's and up fit with no trimming, but I always trim the rain gutters anyway just in case I want or need to run the spare regardless of what size rim I am running.

How to modify ac blower box for a tubbed firewall?

Yes the entire HVAC box, just remove the fresh air inlet duct and servo motor, and leave the box be, no need to do anything else to it. Just seal off the inlet of the cowl.

How to modify ac blower box for a tubbed firewall?

The way we have done it is to remove the assmebly, and drill through just the fresh air duct inlet plastic welds, and remove just that piece and it's blend motor, then seal off the fresh air intake on the underneath of the cowl with a piece of sheetmetal and you are done. This way the heat and...

    The Stupid Lowered Questions Thread

Belltech spindles for the gmt 400 push the the wheel outward 1/2 per side, and others such as DJM do not, they did this for more clearance around the LCA rain gutters when run stock size rims. I have installed many sets of both, and the Belltechs work just fine but you have to make sure your...

    The bagged Burb project..

I have had 3 burbs, 2 obs and one nbs, and the obs burb tank is behind the axle and the nbs tank is in front of the axle in a similar place that it is in on a truck. Both of my obs burbs were lowered, the 99 was lowered 4-6 with belltech notch's and no issues.

Best route to 5" rear drop

I have done this a few times, when wanting a 5 rear drop, I use a rear flip kit with a 1 inch lift DJM shackle. works perfect. Also if you ever want to lower it more, you can always go back to the stock shackles or even drop shackles for more drop.

Gas tank issues need some help.

Stock the 88-98 tank is flush with the bottom of the frame, I usually raise them 1 inch to clear the ground, but I drove my truck for many years with the tank at stock height with no problems while bagged and laying frame.
