Hi All,

I have the mevotech TTX upper and lower ball joints installed in the stock LCA and mevotech Supreme UCA. However, I cant seem to find any torque specs for the bolts that hold the ball joints in place.

Do these need a specific torque, and if so, where can I find the torque specs?

Thanks!

I could look, but without even knowing what truck you drive I’d be wasting my time. Is it a 94 1500? C or K?

Assuming a 4x4, for upper bolts to the control arm, go by a generic torque spec chart for the bolt. In my manual the GM specs are wrong....higher than the bolts are capable of taking.

I always torque items with a castle nut that requires a cotter pin to 40 to 42lbs no mater what size, read it in a manual years ago and has worked so far right or wrong, can't recall if these trucks have cotter pins on the ball joints though.

ALL items, or just ball joints? Pretty sure the axle nut on my ram calls for 125 or 145 lbft or something like that. Getting a good squeeze helps take any play/lash out of the bearing. I don't think that's something I'd throw to 40 and say "close enough".

Maybe try emailing Mevotech and see what they recommend. They may have a different torque than the factory setting.
