Very brief update with good news and bad news.

The good news, my parts came in yesterday evening.

The bad news, UPS delivered to the wrong address.

I have filed a claim on the delivery and we'll see what happens. Hopefully I get the parts and not a refund because I do not want to have to order all new parts again but we'll see how that goes because the Chevy is effectively deadlined until I get the new parts installed.

Some kind neighbors down the street let us know that the parts were delivered to their house instead, got the parts back and installed them. I'm going to do a coolant flush on the truck to get the dex-cool crust out and then replace the heater core inlet hose since that is leaking pretty bad when the truck is running so things are finally back on track with maintenance.

Hitch reciever should be in later today so I should be able to get that in pretty quickly once I have some time.

Yeah, thankfully the draw-tite 10k hitch reciever I ordered came in on time at the correct address this time, but it was all scratched up and the box is pretty mangled. I plan on installing that next.

Did a quick coolant flush on the radiator, mostly to get some of the gunk out, but otherwise the coolant was fairly clear and not too cruddy. The water pump itself was in decent shape but the gaskets had failed causing the leak.

New fan, pump and hoses have been installed, now I'll change the transmission fluid after another 100 miles.

I just remembered something I forgot to mention previously.

I redid the wiring on the wiring on the trailer wiring harness, removed the twist-cap style for parallel connectors and heat shrink, made a new ground jumper wire, i also installed the 7-way connector in the bumper which was convenient since there was a good deal of rust in the spot that i cut a hole through so it worked out that i had to remove some rust anyway.

I think the setup works pretty well, but i am definitely going to upgrade the receiver and i am probably going to do the same wiring setup with the new bumper when i get it.
Hey,,,that is where I put mine

Side note, I'm tempted to get a bunch of 4x8' 3/4" plywood to create a pad to sit the trucks on to work on them

I built a 14’ wide by 32’ long parking pad. I bought all low cost “cull” pressure treated 4x4s to lay out 16” apart lengthwise the full 32’ on flat firm ground. Then I added 14’ long 2x10s about 3/8” apart all the way down to span the 4x4s. A few boxes of screws and I had a place to park my car hauler keeping it out of the grass and mud. Way better than working in the dirt.

Man, I had UPS driver stop in the street, in front of my house, numbers all over the mailbox and house and proceed down the street. I was in the front yard on the mower waving to his arse trying to flag him down 200ft from him. Commenced to chasing him down the street on the mower. Watched him drop my stuff off and drive out past me in the street still trying to flag him down. He never stopped. Kind of WTF is the world coming to moments. He needs more money before he takes his job seriously, not. Other times have been lucky neighbors brought me my stuff.

Our mail carrier was really bad leaving packages in the wrong boxes. We have one of those corner deals with all of the boxes together and you get a key in your box to open the larger boxes if you have a large package.
Had one neighbor finally bring back some part for my truck, I can't remember what, like 3 days later. Opened of course.
Guess if it were a D%#k pump I'd never have seen it again...
