Hello all this is my first post here and I’m hoping to gain some insight reguarding my wiper fluid system just incase I’m missing something
A little background… I purchased a 95 chevy k1500 ext cab 2 door not long ago. PO didn’t take very good care of it as he let things go for too long which led to me putting a crate motor in it and completely rebuilding the transmission. No worries because it’s running like a top now and now I’m trying to tidy up the litttle things
Trying to get my washer fluid to work properly. So far I’ve replaced the cowl, it was cracked in 2 when I went to tackle this job so I ordered a new one, I’ve got new nozzles in it. All new rubber hose. A new pump and grommet. I’m getting a leak behind my driver side front tire still and I can’t understand why because everything is new. Washer fluid works it just seems like the motor has to re prime itself everytime I engage them on the stalk. Why is this? Do I need a check valve in the system? And why am I getting a leak behind the front tire? Is the system getting too much pressure from the lack of a check valve causing it to leak at the new y connector under the cowl? Thanks in advance and sorry if this is a dumb question. It’s got me confused.
