I'd like to introduce you to my 1999 GMC K1500 SLT Suburban. 160k miles, no tears in the leather, headliner is tight, and everything works. Lubed all the hinges, moisturized all the weather stripping, polished the glass, and gave her an oil change. 3 stages and 6 hours with a buffer got rid of that southern paint fade and brought the factory color back to life.
A set of late model take-off 17's with some BFG A/Ts and this is what she looks like under the bright lights. I'm not mad at it, in fact I'm kinda proud. Don't see this color scheme too often either.
Future plans include a manifold-back exhaust, 2" blocks for the rear, new shocks all around, replacing the factory speakers and upgrading the brakes.

I want an OBS Suburban so bad. Going to start looking this fall for one to serve winter duty, but everyone wants an arm and a leg for them.

Yours looks completely rejuvenated!! The paint looks so much better.

Thanks! Yeah if you can find a low mileage example and the interior isn't torn up they're going for quite a bit. I got lucky with this one.

Nice truck.

Here's my 1998, similar but different green w/ tan. (on the trailer is my former '95 S10 Blazer)

Yours looks good, I like the two-tone combo works very well.

The wheels look nice too, I considered a set of those for mine.

Watch for leaks around the rear barn doors' weatherstripping, water'll find its way in and then under the carpet. Ask me how I know.

Are you missing a lug nut up front?

You've almost certainly got the JB6 brakes on that Sub. I've made extensive changes to mine as they were previously unresponsive, particularly under abrupt, evasive maneuvers. I used to hate them...
