Hello, I’m new here so take it easy on me. I have an 89 C1500 with a manual that I recently took the V6 out of and swapped a 350 V8 into. The truck runs but it is flooding out really bad (it kills the plugs within an hour of running it). I put a new o2 sensor in and it didn’t change anything. The donor truck is a 1990 c1500 with an automatic, and I’m wondering if swapping the computer will solve any of my issues, or if it will cause bigger problems since the transmissions are different. I also am using the map sensor from the V6, is this something that could cause it to flood? Please help me out with your knowledge.

Also, here is a list of the parts that I have swapped from the donor truck. Everything else is from the V6: the 350 itself, intake manifold, throttle body and injectors, entire cooling system, oil pressure sensor, coolant temp sensor, front accessory system, and exhaust manifolds.

Find a computer from a 88-91 TBI 350 auto or manual trans and swap it in. The auto has no electronics in that year except the lockup converter which won’t effect your situation. This will solve the issue.
Just tried that, and it’s still running bad rich unfortunately
