The short explanation, my brake lights won't turn on when pressing the pedal anymore, also my brake controller is not activating. I checked the bulbs, they're fine and the fuse is good.
This started happening after I had replaced the hydroboost seal. I unplugged the top connector on the brake module to be able to move the master cylinder out of the way and forgot to plug it back in before driving it. The truck died and wouldn't start back up for a few minutes, but then started and I drove it home. Ever since my brake lights won't activate or the brake controller.
Anybody have any insight that could point me in the right direction?

Edit: also, my brake light is illuminated on the dash. Seems to be medium brightness, it gets brighter when I press the parking brake down.

Brake light switch under the dashboard, on the rod linking the booster pushrod and the pedal, could be bad. They frequently go out after a booster service, so I've heard; had to replace it on my crew cab with HB, shortly after the booster was replaced.

Awesome, during the hydroboost service the lights were on constant, so I was thinking that the switch could have gone out. I'll pull that and test it.

When you do, watch out for the clip that holds it on. It's a pain in the @$$ and you don't want to lose it! That was the worst part of the repair; moreso even then laying upside down to get to it.

Yep, like @HotWheelsBurban said, start at that switch. You may be able to move it and pivot it and make it so the plunger works better or the electrical connection could just be loose.
