Mine's a twenty-five year old cheap Chinese 2-ton engine hoist that's been re-worked to fit under a lowered RX-7. After twenty years the hydraulic cylinder gave up and I put a Harbor Freight cylinder on it. It's pulled more engines than I can count, hoisted truck beds, Ford 8.8 rearends, etc. It hoists big block Cadillacs just fine, although I usually put the arm on the 3000 lb setting, for pretty much the same reason I don't rev the race car out to 7000 rpm. I'll try and get some pictures of it today.

I have never done it before and was wandering if there was any guides available on how to remove the motor first. I've googled everything and can't seem to find a guide available online for the vortec specifically.
There’s a how to book available. It does step by step and tools needed..
