Who would buy a kit of rear fender bolts? Would you prefer it per fender, a kit for both fenders, individual bolts? What would that be worth to you in each option?

I can't find these anywhere an I'm looking at having some made for 73-98 but it's a steep initial buy in an waaayyyy more than I'd ever need.

I had a couple missing. Got a few long whatever mm those are bolts, cut the heads off, and roughed up that end. Epoxied the hole, and half screwed the bolt in. Then sat an appropriately sized washer down, to fill in the gap, and mimic the flange on that bolt.

They seem to be holding very well so far, but I'm sure you could have figured out that much yourself, and looking for a more factory option. I couldn't find any either. Though the holes in the SMC get tore up also, I epoxied in some loose ones too.

If you had them made, you could offer any any packaging really, but man I dunno if you would be able to turn enough of them to deal with it all. You're going to have more people that probably don't want to buy a set, but that also leaves you spending years or whatever nickel and diming single or double bolt sales, with shipping that's probably going to cost as much.

If you had them made out of 304 stainless, I could see more people looking to buy a set for both fenders. Though in general I'd rather have nylocks, than the nuts that GM used. Perhaps only have the studs made, but then you run into purists that want an exact styled nut, lol. I'm a bolt nerd though, and generally replace everything with stainless or titanium. I dont care about factory, I want better.

I think if I were you, I would just ask myself if the cost, and storage is worth getting yourself some factory bolts, and anything you make back to be a bonus. Not trying to do it as if you need to then unload a lot of bolts to help cover it all.

That's my hesitation, the quantity they want me to buy, plus setup fees makes doing both styles a low 5 figure investment. It would take a while to break even on them. I'm looking at pitching the idea to some resellers that might be more interested, I thinking they would sell but it needs to be by someone who can handle that investment in a long game type deal. Not just me selling on forums, FB an ebay...

Oof, that's even a digit higher than I was guessing. Hopefully someone is onboard with the idea, who could do something. It would be nice to be able to buy them, but yeah that's a lot for an individual.
I don’t have a dually but I’d like to someday. I’d buy a set just to support the venture.
Watch your mouth! Its already not going to be easy to hoard them all, without you driving up prices!

Kidding, I can barely afford the one I have.

I could cut that price in half if I could get something that will work for both platforms. In stock form they are different but not enough that I couldn't make a one size fits all for all the 73-87 years. That might be the better way, the feedback I'm getting is not encouraging though. Seems people would still rather epoxy in some all-thread than spend even $20 on the right bolts. To me if you epoxy something in, you shoot yourself in the foot on a future issue. I guess not everyone cares about that though. I tend to put more emphasis on something being serviceable than just getting it fixed ASAP.
