So, I built a 1980 K5 Blazer with a warm/hot 454 and I dearly loved it. I'm careful, so I never broke it. Well, I did snap a u-joint and spit the driveshaft out once on a over excited full throttle 6500 rpm shift to second gear, but other than that, no problems. I drove it for 20 years--> best swap I ever did.

So now, I've got a 1994 GMC K1500 4x4, and a bunch of big block parts. I am seriously thinking of big block swapping it. I know it will fit and all, I am just wondering about headers. I don't believe Chevy ever offered a big block in an IFS, Half-Ton 4x4, right??

So, are headers, (full length) available??

Now please, please, don't say "LS". It just ain't gonna happen, so please save your breathe.

Thanks!!

I would think a set off a big block truck, K2500/3500 would fit. As far as engines, mounts and whatnot on that part of the frame are the same between 1/2-1 ton.

You're correct. The only way you were getting a factory big block in a GMT400 1500 truck was in the 454SS, which of course was 2WD.

Brother keeps telling me to bring this home and work with it, not a big block fan myself

Id rather have a big block over a small block, especially in a heavy pig of a truck.

Well, I started to make a new thread, as I'm back to this idea.

But before I spend the money freshening up my big block to go in, I'll ask once again.

Does anyone know of headers, preferably cheap ones, that will fit a big block in a 1994 K1500 4x4??

Please!

Thanks!
