Going through the same "angst" with replacing the original rad on my '98.Did I order the right radiator? I swear to god I cannot figure out what this hose connection is for!
Replacement radiators are made universal so they dont need to make multiple different part numbers depending on what options a vehicle has. So they come with extra fittings and stuff that doesnt effect the function if its not being used.
$448.00 Ouch!I put this one in my 98 Tahoe a while back (with transmission and oil cooler ports). It didn’t have that port.

I think I paid $160.00 3 years ago at Advance Auto for my Spectra duel core. So far so good, but I owe it all to you, since you pointed out the HPS Silicone cap!Yeah, they’re pretty proud of it. It was probably $300-ish a few years ago when I got it.
Yeah, I did cruze thru "The Rock" and saw they had the best pricing on the OEM rad ...but even with that it was something like $400. I wanted to score something local ...especially if I ran into issues like the bent core on the NAPA radiator.I put this one in my 98 Tahoe a while back (with transmission and oil cooler ports). It didn’t have that port.
