I am putting LEDs in my ‘95; went with the warm color like factory. Only did the doors so far. Need to get some photos but they look alright.

I nerded out pretty hard over LED color when I did my red truck, it does make a big difference. IIRC it was a pain to find warm white rigid loop festoons for the map lights that matched the replacement I had in the dome.

I liked what I ended up with, but some of them would always do this weird flicker whenever battery voltage fluctuated even slightly. I remember the map lights would do it just sitting idling sometimes. Swapped back to incandescent and all those issues went away.

If an RZ Lights is $115.00 and they are still available, what’s an original worth new, that’s basically not available. Plus you gotta factor in everything seems to be stupid money nowadays.

I don't mind being in the minority on some things and in my opinion few aftermarket parts measure up to OE design and performance. But once OE parts run out, you have no choice.

The price seems outrageous but when you consider the extremely limited availability of all the parts of that assembly - it makes more sense.

The lenses get broken where the screws go in, the gaskets get old, brittle, shrunken, and the base goes bad electrically, usually due to corrosion which I'd guess is natural with age due to the environment but probably also hastened once the gasket goes bad.

If that's the WHOLE assembly NOS - base, gasket, lens.. I say go for it.

I did inquire to make sure it was the right brake light for my truck. I took the first step to dropping the cash on it. :33:

OK. So I did a thing. I called it NOS, but this is about as new as it gets. I didn’t reveal where it was so I didn’t get sniped. I found it on eBay and asking was $225 and I got it for $180 plus shipping/tax. Put it just under $200.
