Does anyone know how to recalibrate the speedo on a 1996 c2500? I put a new set of wheels on it and they’re about 2” smaller than factory size so now the speedo is off pretty bad.

Don't quote me but I believe that you need to get into the comp program for that. A local tuner shop perhaps.

They’re 20” wheels but on 275/40’s so they end up being 2” smaller.

Both my parents were math teachers. It sounds like your new wheels are actually 4" larger than the OE wheels.

Oh, you meant the tires! Got it.
@62barsoom is right. PCM needs to be programmed to the tires' new overall height.

'96 will require computer tuning to re-calibrate the speedometer. It's not hard to do at all, but the tuning software options that are compatible with the '96-'97 PCMs are pretty much limited to JET DST. I'm not aware of any other software that will work. One of the handheld programmers might do the job, but for the money spent on one of those IMO you'd be much better off spending a little more and going with DST. It's much more capable.

Here's a screenshot of the speedometer calibration parameters for my '97 K1500 Suburban in JET DST.
